It's been 4 years.....
To be honest, I hit a kind of burn out stage posting content on this Blog. I started it to simply show the work I do. I don't speak for or represent anyone or anything other than myself. I am not the keeper of art traditions. I simply consider myself a fairly good technician with some knowledge, gained from a lifetime of devotion to learning and craft. Professionally restoring literally thousands of Native artifacts over the last 35 years taught me more than a few things. As well, almost all the work I posted on this site was work done by request. On behalf of collectors, tribes and tribal people and museums. I did take down most of the content on this page for various reasons and I may repost it. I am not 100% on that. I have tried to share, teach and give back where possible. The work I do shouldn't threaten anyone.
The last years have brought many changes. And of course, one needs to change with them. One of the positive changes is I decided to learn to silversmith. I am having a lot of fun with it, and am trying to really develop a style 100% my own. I am a child of the west as are my forbearers. I grew up with and around many different cultures. And I will use those influences in my work unabashedly.
I have never had a web site although that hopefully will change soon. But a few photos of some of the work I have done the last 4 years. Right now, my main goal is to find the passion behind the work again. It's been in truth a rough road but I am finding footing again. Time to make beauty happen.
