Since this upcoming weekend it will be the great annual Crow Indian Fair http://crowfair.crowtribe.com/
I thought I would post a Crow/Plateau bridle I made. Debating which tribe this particular style belongs to can illicit fist fights among very passionate Plains Indian scholars. So I will side step that contentious discussion and call it both as the Crows and the Plateau peoples equally used them with plenty of supporting historical photo documentation to support either claim.
The bridle I made is on buffalo rawhide, and sinew sewn using antique Italian beads. One of the thoughts of where these bridles may have originated from (key hole on forehead) is based on Spanish horse bridles.
On to more projects. Plenty of great new purses to make this fall, so I should have some really great new material to show here. Again, Thanks to all who have shown a interest in my artwork and my blog site.
