Buffalo Gal' Hat

I thought I would do a quick posting of a current work in progress. I am not sure yet if I am finished with it, as I am not convinced if I should or should not bead a rim on the hat. Sometimes, less is more.

It is beaded on a vintage hat, found in a pawn shop on the Yakima reservation. The beadwork is done using size 13 to 16 cut beads, along with antique micro beads. When I am satisfied I have finished this hat, I will take some photos that show the beadwork of a little better. Small projects like this (although it still took a week of full time beading) can be hard to know when enough is enough.

Happy New Year, and hope for all to have a Peaceful, Prosperous and Healthy life to come.
